S'pore shares open higher

SINGAPORE shares opened higher on Wednesday with the benchmark Straits Times Index up 3.81 points, or 0.18 per cent, at 2,078.16.

About 130 million shares were traded in the first few minutes of the trading session.

Losers beat gainers 77 to 57.
