S'pore dollar value consistent
Thu, May 21, 2009
Reuters
>SINGAPORE'S central bank said on Thursday the Singapore dollar's strength against the dollar reflected the US currency's weakness against Asian currencies.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore was comfortable with its current monetary stance, deputy managing director Ong Chong Tee said at a briefing on the country's first quarter economic performance.

The government is also unlikely to introduce a second stimulus package to boost the economy, said Ravi Menon, an official at the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
