PC maker Lenovo reports US$226.4m annual loss

HONG KONG (AFP) - - China's Lenovo, the world's fourth largest maker of personal computers, on Thursday reported a net loss of US$226.4 million (S$329.93 million) in the 2008-09 fiscal year citing structural changes and weak sales.

The company also reported a fourth quarter net loss of US$264 million compared with a net profit of US$140 million in the same period a year earlier. The company reported a US$484.3-million profit for 2007-08.

Revenue fell to US$14.90 billion for the full year, down from US$16.35 billion dollars in the previous year.
