STI opens higher

SINGAPORE shares opened higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,320.16 in early trade, up 0.77% per cent, or 17.70 points.

Around 114 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 158 to 32.
