French bank Societe Generale sees return to profit

PARIS - French bank Societe Generale said Monday it expected to return to profit in the second quarter after recovering from losses caused by the financial crisis.

The group said in a statement that it expected to make a small profit after having lost 278 million euros (S$563 million) in the first quarter.
