Hong Kong shares close 0.61 percent down

HONG KONG - Hong Kong shares closed 0.61 percent lower Monday after renewed concerns over the strength of a US economic recovery sent stocks plummeting on Wall Street.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 132.68 points to 21,620.19. Turnover was 65.11 billion Hong Kong dollars (S$11.7 billion).
