STI lower at midday

SINGAPORE shares were slightly lower at mid-day on Tuesday with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 3.41 points, or 0.12 per cent, at 2,780.44.

About 791 million shares were traded.

Losers beat gainers 251 to 136.
