STI higher at midday

SINGAPORE shares were higher at mid-day on Friday with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 7.53 points, or 0.27 per cent, at 2,766.32.

About 646 million shares were traded.

Losers beat gainers 184 to 145.
