STI opens higher

SINGAPORE shares opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 13.47 points, or 0.49 per cent higher, at 2,775.01.

About 121 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 86 to 51.
