STI higher at mid-day

SINGAPORE shares were higher at mid-day on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 13.05 points, or 0.47 per cent higher, at 2,774.59.

About 690 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 182 to 158.
