PETALING JAYA: The much anticipated built-for-women FemmeCity will finally be opening its doors to visitors tomorrow.
The exhibition-fair will be launched in the morning by Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
Organised by Clove, The Star's monthly women's pullout, FemmeCity adopts a concept that reflects an actual living, breathing city. The fair will consist of 150 booths laid out like a metropolis with "streets" covering beauty, fashion, health and fitness among others.
Many activities await visitors, including a fashion show by the Valiram Group featuring Coach and Shanghai Tang on its opening day.
Visitors aged 16 years and above are encouraged to collect a "passport" at the FemmeCity Information Counter and get it stamped at the seven blockbuster booths - Canon, Triumph, Watson's, Poh Kong, Himalaya, Tupperware and Yume Jewelry - fill up a survey and complete a slogan to be in the running to win prizes from Chloe, Coach, Tumi and Shanghai Tang.
Fans of Tupperware will be happy to know that a Tupperware Brands auction will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. Visitors can bring empty mineral water bottles in exchange for "TupperDollars" which can be used at the auction.
The fair will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from tomorrow until Sunday.
