Scoot's seats roomy, but frills can add up

Scoot's inaugural flight to Sydney on June 4 may have had a few hiccups, but passengers on that maiden flight were still smiling.

The reason? The no-frills carrier's wallet-friendly prices and surprisingly roomy seats.

While tickets may be cheap, with a few lucky passengers on that first flight snagging return business class tickets for $500 each, the frills on the flight can add up.

Everything from blankets to hot meals to iPad rentals are chargeable.
