New mobile applications from the National Environment Agency's (NEA) will help you monitor your energy consumption more effectively, and adjust your usage to save energy and money.

The NEA Energy Audit app, launched yesterday, allows households to find out which appliances are the top energy users at home andestimate the monthly energy costs incurred by each appliance.

The Life Cycle Cost Calculator will help you calculate and compare costs incurred from usage of different models of air-conditioners, refrigerators and clothes dryers. Both apps are available for free on the Apple app store.
