Students from National Junior College (NJC) have come up with an Android app that encourages senior citizens to go on heritage trails around their neighbourhood.
Launching Active Ageing Through Learning-on-the-Move yesterday, Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew said this joint-initiative by NJC and Moulmein-Kallang GRC will strengthen inter-generational bonds.
Each heritage trail has various sites known as "hotspots".
When a user is near a hotspot, the device will be activated and more about the site can be learnt through videos or pictures.
