A nude experience

Your body is his canvas, and he will lovingly adorn it with gold and precious jewels with the passion of an artist working on a masterpiece.

From ancient times, body painting has been used for a variety of reasons - hunting, religious ceremonies, rituals, and military purposes such as camouflage - but Japanese Nude Jewelry Artist, Nobuhiko Akatsuka, is pushing the boundaries, revolutionising it as a sensual, stylish, fashion statement

Body painting is not a new art form, but the use of gold and jewellery on bare skin is a fairly modern and unconventional expression of body art. But unlike a tattoo, Nobu-san's work - while temporal - is not just cosmetic. The sensual experience of having gold and jewels laid out on bare, exposed fleshwill leave a lingering sexiness that extends beyond just a few days.

While this experience is not yet available in Singapore, Nobu-san's local collaborator, Cupid Jewels, will hope to be painting the town gold - very soon.
