THE news of a troubled affair involving a couple who work as TV personalities in China has become the talk of town on the Internet following a dramatic incident on Friday.
The video of the incident, which happened during a press conference on the launch of China Central Television's (CCTV's) Olympics Channel, has been widely distributed and broadcast on the Web.
Images showed that in the middle of the event, Beijing TV host Hu Ziwei went on stage and began to reveal her troubled relationship with her husband Zhang Bin, who was hosting the event.
"As 2008 approaches, many look forward to a good year. But, Zhang Bin and I will not be able to do so," Hu said on stage.
Zhang, who works as a sports show host for CCTV-5, was seen trying to prevent Hu from speaking during the incident.
Many netizens posted their wishes for the couple and views on the issue on both Zhang's and Hu's blogs.
"There is a cost to pay for living. Hopefully, you will become more mature and manage your marriage better," a poster said on Zhang's blog.
