LOS ANGELES - LEONARDO DiCaprio has settled a legal dispute with neighbours who claimed that a basketball court built at the star's home had destabilised their property, court records showed on Friday.
The couple Ronald and Joan Linclau had sued DiCaprio for US$250,000 (S$341,000) in damages over the court built at his home in the Hollywood Hills.
The Linclaus claimed the court had undermined a slope near their home and support for a swimming pool.
However, the dispute has now been resolved, according to a notice of settlement filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday. No terms of the settlement were divulged.
DiCaprio, 33, has been nominated for an Oscar three times, most recently in 2007 for his performance in the action-adventure Blood Diamond. He is next to appear in the Ridley Scott thriller, Body of Lies, due for release in the United States later this year. -- AFP
