S'pore's Huang Jinglun is out

HUANG Jinglun, Singapore's hope for One Million Star 3, the third season of the popular Taiwanese talent show, is out.

The Singapore undergraduate had been the only non-Taiwanese in the top five line-up of the show with a chance to compete in the Aug 15 finals.

He had won fans in Singapore and Taiwan after joining the show when it expanded to include contestants from Los Angeles, Tokyo and Singapore, and emerging in the top five last month.

But on Sunday, he took part in the final and fifth round of a contest in which two previously eliminated contestants were allowed to return.

And Huang dropped to sixth position, based on points awarded by judges accumulated in the five rounds of this contest, including Sunday's.
