MEXICO CITY, MEXICO - MEXICAN actor Gael Garcia Bernal, star of homegrown and international cinema, is expecting a baby with his partner, Argentine actress Dolores Fonzi, his production company said on Wednesday.
'This statement is to say that, after so much speculation and comments, the actors Dolores Fonzi and Gael Garcia Bernal are indeed expecting a baby at the start of next year,' Canana Films said in a statement.
Garcia Bernal became known internationally after Mexican hits Love's a Bitch and And Your Mother Too, and has acted in a string of foreign films including Bad Education, Babel and The Motorcycle Diaries.
The 29-year-old set up Canana Films with his friend and former co-star, Mexican actor Diego Luna, who himself became a father two days ago.
Bernal met 30-year-old Fonzi on the set of the Argentine movie Private Lives in 2001. -- AFP
