BRITAIN'S Prince William charged to the rescue of a damsel in distress during a charity motorcycle ride, reported the Daily Mirror.

A female teammate had trouble getting her heavy bike up a steep gorge on South Africa's west coast, so the prince rode it to the peak for her. After that, he headed down to retrieve his own machine.

He then led his group of riders, including brother Prince Harry, to a campsite for the night.
