MALACCA, MALAYSIA: Bollywood heartthrob Shah Rukh Khan will be in Malacca on Dec 6 to receive his Datukship from Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob.

The actor will receive his Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM) award at a ceremony at 10am at Dewan Seri Negri, Ayer Keroh, with 1,000 invited guests.

Confirmation of his one-day visit to Malacca was made by State Secretary Datuk Omar Kaseh in a statement issued to the media yesterday.

The actor, who was to have received the award this Saturday, had to reschedule due to his tight working schedule.

Omar said the actor would arrive at 7.30am and proceed to the ceremony wearing the traditional official black Malay costume and a songkok to receive the award.
