"I WANT to have a pair of twins," Mawi told a press conference after the solemnisation ceremony at the Sultan Abu Bakar mosque in Johor Baru yesterday.

He added that he wanted a big family of three or four children, and also said that he hoped his fans would pray for his happiness.

"I want to look after my wife and I want her by my side at all times. I will make sure that she follows me around to manage me and also be my stylist."

A: Alhamdulillah, I'm glad that the proceedings went on smoothly. I'm very excited. Ekin is the perfect woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with.

Q: How did you cope with the media and public attention before the wedding?

A: It's been difficult but I've always prayed to Allah for strength and patience. I hope the allegations against Ekin will stop after this. She has been strong despite the rumours about our relationship.

Q: Do you think the marriage will end the rumours?

A: I can't stop people from talking. This is just the beginning of a lifetime journey, and my focus is on my marriage. I want it to be long-lasting.

Q: Where do you plan to spend your honeymoon?

A: I plan to take her to Korea and a few other holiday destinations after this.

Q: Is it true about this wedding ceremony costs more than RM5 million?

A: No, and it's irrelevant.

Q: Do you miss your late father, Ani Ahmad?

A: I do miss him very much.

Q: Will you be taking a long leave from work?

A: No, I'll be performing at the New Year's countdown concert on Dec 31 and then I'll be busy with my wedding reception on Jan 11. I'll take leave until the end of January after it's over.
