In a recent interview with CNN, Edison Chen made a public apology to the actresses involved in the nude photo scandal in January last year.
He especially expressed his remorse towards Cecilia Cheung, who had previously called him a "hypocrite".
Cheung was interviewed by the Hong Kong media while she was shopping with her son Lucas and mother-in-law Deborah Dik. She appeared to be in a very good mood when the media told her about Chen's apology.
According to the Hong Kong media, Cheung was shopping in a mall located in Central.
When asked whether she accepted Edison's apology, she replied, "Of course I accept his apology! I didn't catch the interview though."
Reporters went on to ask if Edison's apology come too late, but Cheung replied graciously, "It's fine with me. As long as he's sincere about it, I don't think the timing of his apology matters. I am very happy to hear that he feels remorseful."
Cheung also spoke on behalf of the other actresses involved in the scandal, "I hope everyone can give us a bit more personal space!"
