KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: The grapevine is abuzz with news about a Hollywood film crew and actress Naomi Watts being in the capital to shoot scenes for a movie.

Although no confirmation was received from the local party involved in the film, a representative from the Information, Communications and Culture Ministry confirmed that a film crew from the United States is here until June 28 to shoot around the city.

According to the Internet Movie Database (imdb.com), Watts is currently shooting a film entitled Fair Game, directed by Doug Liman, which is based on the memoirs of Valerie Plame.

Watts plays Plame, the woman who was outed as a CIA agent by the White House in retaliation when her husband, ambassador Joseph Wilson, wrote an article about the faulty intelligence about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Sean Penn will star opposite Watts.

The 40-year-old actress, raised in Australia, has been in a number of high-profile movies, including King Kong, Eastern Promises, The Ring and The International.
