PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA - Actress Umie Aida will be getting engaged to a Datuk at I-Zen Mont Kiara 1 at 8pm on Tuesday.

Although she was still keeping mum about the ceremony's details, she spoke of her wish to hold it on a modest scale with the man she calls 'Abang K'.

Umie declined to elaborate on her man, Datuk Khairuddin, who is in his mid 40s, with 'fair skin and Chinese features'.

It is also learnt that he is a widower of 15 years and has two sons.

Before the date was announced, Umie kept the media guessing and would coyly say 'preparations were under way' even though both their families had met last May.

It is learnt that Umie will be wearing a gown by renowned fashion designer Bill Keith for the engagement.

Umie added that Hari Raya this year was special as she visited Datuk Khairuddin's house in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, on the second day of Raya.

She brought along her two foster sons, Mohd Daniel Firdaus, 16, and Mohd Zulhilmy, 15, as well as her sibling.
