More of Chaw's drunken rowdiness exposed

MALAYSIAN singer Gary Chaw is facing more problems following the news of his fight with Hong Kong artiste Justin Lo.

Major Chinese dailies in Malaysia reported that more stories of Chaw misbehaving were being exposed in the media in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

A reader told the Taiwan media that Chaw had held a knife to his wife's neck when he was drunk.

"The street-fighting incident was not the first time he lost control after being intoxicated," said the reader.

Chaw's Taiwanese wife Wu Su-ling had, however, denied the allegation, and answered: "Impossible."

Other allegations of Chaw's drunken misconduct included him damaging a restaurant signboard and throwing glasses onto the floor.

It was also reported that he was assaulted twice while drinking at pubs.

Chaw returned to Malaysia on Saturday after requesting a 14-day vacation to rest.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong CID has opened investigations into Wednesday's fight.

Police have contacted some witnesses, including a taxi driver, and are expected to record a statement from Lo soon.
