Now, while I will admit that I quickly wrote off ABC dramedy Castle as yet another cop show with a twist (think Psych or Monk), I was just as quickly drawn in by its immensely appealing characters and competent storylines.

Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion from Two Guys, A Girl And A Pizza Place) is a cocky murder-mystery novelist who gets roped in to help police find a copycat murderer who bases his dirty deeds on the man's books.

But the kind soul in this case is tough-as-nails detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), who puts up with Castle's blatant comeons and cheesy lines for the sake of finding the bad guy.

Now, that's a girl with a heart.
