REMINISCENT of Catch Me If You Can (2002), this film is also based on a true tale about a conman always one step ahead of the law.
But director Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Eleven) strips away the glamour and gets Matt Damon to pile on some weight to play a whistleblower at an agri-industry firm. Damon is Oscar-worthy as the flawed "hero" ever ready to drown in his own lies.
