First Singapore Youth Olympic Games store opens

Singaporeans can now get their hands on official Singapore Youth Olympics merchandise with the opening of a first store at Orchard Road.

The store, located at Basement 2, Ngee Ann City, will sell its first batch of merchandise, includes more than 50 designs.

Imagery of the Games' mascots, Lyo and Merly, which were introduced yesterday, will also be featured on many of the items.

Items available in the 80 square feet store range from plush toys to polo shirts and water bottles. Prices range from $7.90 to $149.90.

The full range of Singapore 2010 merchandise includes around 500 designs and will be available in batches before August 2010.

In the coming weeks, more merchandise outlets will be open to the general public. In the month of December 2009, a merchandise outlet will open at ION Orchard Basement 3.

Other outlets in the pipeline include selected post offices.

Those who wish to shop online can also visit the upcoming web store, which will be hosted at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games website at www.singapore2010.sg.
