Taiwanese pop idol Show Luo has a diehard fan.
She is not Chinese, and hardly speaks nor understands Chinese. Yet she flew all the way here last weekend to support the launch of her idol's new streetwear store at *SCAPE.
Dani, a German who lives in Vienna, fell in love with Luo during her one-year stay in Taiwan from 2008 to 2009. She has since become Luo's Number 1 non-Chinese fan.
Together with other members from Luo's fan club, Dani got to speak to the megastar at length when he played salesman for close to four hours at his streetwear store Stage, a label he founded in 2006.
She said Luo's English "has improved a lot", and his service attitude was also "very good".
Luo's appearance at the opening of his store drew about 1,000 fans to *SCAPE, and at least 700 of them made purchases to show their support.
Luo also spoke to the media about the return of his high-octane 3D World Live Tour to Singapore, and what he thought of Jolin Tsai's surprise appearance at Jay Chou's concert in Taipei.
