Are US hip-hop star will.i.am and British Prince Charles - new BFFs?

The Black Eyed Peas frontman, who is a judge on British reality singing series The Voice, has donated ?500,000 (S$998,000) to The Prince's Trust charityafter meeting Prince Charles at his home.

The money, donated through will.i.am's i.am.angel Foundation, will go towards building a tech programme and providing disadvantaged youth with education, training and "enterprise schemes".

The pop star said: "...the people of the UK have welcomed me into their sitting rooms week after week and I feel very much at home here."

He tweeted that he gave the majority of the money he made on the Voice to the trust.
