Singaporean actor Chin Han joins AXN's new series 'Last Resort'

SINGAPORE - Hollywood-based Singapore actor Chin Han has joined new US military drama "Last Resort" as a guest star.

The show started airing on Starhub TV channel AXN, from Oct 2 onwards. The local screening of the show is shown on the same week as the US telecast.

The series revolves around the crew of a powerful nuclear submarine which found themselves being targeted by their own country instead. Subsequently, they seek refuge on an island and declares war on their home country.

Chin Han will embark on a role as a Chinese ambassador named Mr Zheng, who works with the captain to negotiate supplies for the starving crew and islanders.

His character is slated to appear in several episodes of the action-drama.

The Singaporean-born artist has been around in the entertainment business for 20 years. His career spans over a wide scope of performance arts including theatre, television and film. He has worked as a director and producer behind the scenes, and even composed musical scores for concerts.

He has been named one of Asia's 25 greatest actors of all time by CNNGO, a division of US cable channel, CNN.

Currently residing in Los Angeles, the actor's star turn came when he acted in Christopher Nolan's 2008 Batman instal;ment of "The Dark Knight" alongside Hollywood celebrities such as Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart.
