Jacky Cheung ushering in the new year with Jay Chou

Jacky Cheung will make his first New Year's Eve appearance on Chinese television this year, performing together with Jay Chou on Nanjing-based Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation's countdown concert, according to a report on the NetEase news website.

The star-studded line-up also includes Taiwanese singer Show Luo, Hong Kong singer Karen Mok, boy band Super Junior-M and Singaporean singer JJ Lin.

The news comes a day after Shanghai-based Dragon TV announced they were unable to get Hong Kong's Four Heavenly Kings - Cheung, Andy Lau, Aaron Kwok and Leon Lai - to perform together at their countdown concert.
