2006 - 2011: Chairman, Central Area Committee, WP
2011 General Election: Contested for Hougang SMC. Won PAP's Desmond Choo Pey Ching with 64.81 per cent of the votes.

Jan 2012: News of alleged affair with a married woman breaks out
Jan 19, 2012: He tells The New Paper that he had no wish to comment on rumours. He disappears from public eye.
