National Wages Council invites views on wages

SINGAPORE - The National Wages Council (NWC) is inviting members of the public to send in their views and suggestions on wage and wage-related guidelines.

The council will meet in April and May 2012 to consider wage guidelines which will impact all salaried employees and businesses in Singapore.

In a statement to the media, NWC said it welcomes the public's feedback which it says will influence the council in making decisions.

Factors such as Singapore's economic performance, competitiveness, labour market conditions, inflation and productivity will also be considered in the council's deliberations.

The global, regional and local economic outlook will also be taken into account.

Members of the public and all stakeholders can send their views to the Secretary of the NWC through the following channels by April 13, 2012:
