Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said he has been "overwhelmed" by the response from Singaporeans here and overseas, since his Facebook page was launched last Friday.
"You have written in different languages and on many issues. Quite a few have penned thoughtful pieces, and have clearly put in much time and effort," he wrote on his Facebook wall on Monday evening.
To date, PM Lee's page on the social networking service has already received over 35,000 likes, with more than 36,000 users talking about it.
PM Lee said that although he may not be able to address the opinions and feedback individually, he has sent some of it to the ministries to consider.
"Your comments cover many issues of public concern, such as public transport, housing and cost of living. These are complex, long-term problems," he said.
"My government is working hard on them. I ask for your patience and support to deal with them together, as one nation."
On a lighter note, PM Lee shared what he eats for dinner - in response to a few curious netizens.
"Usually something simple - rice, a couple of dishes, and soup. I also have lots of fruit," he wrote before signing off.
