
The Istana grounds will be open to visitors tomorrow from 8.30am to 6pm, with musical performances and other family activities lined up for the Labour Day public holiday.
School bands from River Valley High and Fu Chun Primary will perform at the Open House, and the People's Association will stage music and dance performances as well.
The Jurong Bird Park will also showcase a few species of birds and visitors can get their faces painted by makeup artists from Cosmoprof Academy.
Visitors can also buy Istana souvenirs whose proceeds, together with the entrance fees, will be donated to the Community Chest.
Admission is free for Singaporeans and Singapore permanent residents. Others visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $1 per person.
For an entrance fee of $2, the public can also tour selected function rooms in the Istana building to view a display of gifts presented to the President and the Prime Minister by foreign dignitaries.
Entrance to the Istana grounds is via the main gate at Orchard Road. The nearest MRT station is Dhoby Ghaut.
