SAF military exercises from May 7 - 14

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will be conducting several military exercises from 8am on Monday, May 7 to 8am on Monday, May 14 .

Exercises will be carried out in Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang and Mandai. Blanks and thunderflashes will be used.

A Live Firing Exercise will also be conducted in Pasir Laba Live Firing Area.

Sea vessels and crafts sailing through the Western Johor Straits from May 7 to May 14 are advised to keep within the 75m Navigable Sea Lane and not to stray into the Live Firing Boundary as live ammunition and flares will be used.

The islands of Pulau Sudong, Pulau Senang and Pulau Pawai are also proclaimed manoeuvring and firing grounds, hence, the public is advised to keep clear of these islands.

Live firing will go on around these islands from May 7 to May 11 daily from 7am to 11pm.

On May 12, Saturday, exercises will be conducted from 9am to 10pm and from 3pm to 10pm on May 13, Sunday.

Flares will be released during night firing.

The public is advised not to be alarmed and to keep clear of the areas mentioned.

The public is also advised to stay clear of the prohibited waters off Changi Naval base and Tuas Naval Base.
