
The Workers' Party's Mr Png Eng Huat was sworn in as Hougang's Member of Parliament today.
"I, Png Eng Huat, having been elected as a Member of the Parliament of Singapore, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully discharge my duty as such to the best of my ability, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Republic of Singapore, that I will preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the Republic of Singapore, so help me God," vowed Mr Png.
Mr Png was voted as MP last May in Hougang's by-election over the People's Action Party's Desmond Choo. He received 62.08 per cent of the votes cast.
