THE world's top 10 men and women paddlers will be in town next month for the TMS Singapore Open.

The US$122,000 (S$168,000) tournament is the final Pro Tour event before the Beijing Olympics, and will be the last chance for players to earn valuable ranking points.

Their world ranking will determine their seeding at the Olympics in August.

As hosts, Singapore will field the largest contingent of 36 players, including Olympic medal hopefuls Li Jiawei, Wang Yuegu and Feng Tianwei.

Local talents Jason Ho and Jenn Lim will also have a chance to rub shoulders with the world's best.

The tournament will be played at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall from June 4-8.

Tickets are available at the Singapore Table Tennis Association, SingPost, SAM machines, The Substation, and www.gatecrash.com.sg
