BEIJING - SINGAPORE'S top disabled swimmer Theresa Goh finished a disappointing fourth in her pet 100m breaststroke (SB4 category) event last night, dashing hopes for the Republic to win its first Paralympic gold medal.

Goh, 21, missed out on the bronze by mere strokes after leading the pack of eight swimmers in the first 50m before falling behind in a tight race.

She touched home in 2:01.99, just behind Maria Teresa Perales of Spain who clocked 2:01.25.
