M.A.P.'s new route

NATIONAL sports associations (NSAs) will now also be rewarded if their athletes excel at the major Games.

Starting from next year, NSAs will get 20 per cent of the monetary awards given to their athletes under the Singapore National Olympic Council's Multi-Million Dollar Award Programme (MAP).

The MAP, started in 1995, is an incentive scheme to reward medal winners at the Olympic, Asian, Commonwealth and South-east Asia Games.
