THE HSBC Women's Champions golf tournament will be back next year - and top stars have already signed up.
Tseng Ya-ni, Suzann Pettersen, Cristie Kerr and Natalie Gulbis- all of whom played in last week's Lexus Cup - have confirmed yesterday their participation in the March 5 to 8 event.
Gulbis, Kerr and Pettersen appeared in this year's inaugural event, while Tseng - the Taiwanese world No. 2 - will make her debut after a stellar rookie season.
Said Tseng: "I have had a great first season on the LPGA Tour, and I am very excited to be able to take part in the HSBC Women's Champions.
"Winning my first Major in June was a brilliant experience for me and I would love to win this event too."
To do so, she would have to wrest the title away from the only golfer ranked above her - world No. 1 Lorena Ochoa.
The Mexican swept to victory at the Tanah Merah Country Club in March, having led from start to finish.
She has already committed herself to defending her title at Asia's richest women's golf tournament, with a prize purse of US$2 million (S$3 million).
