Former Olympian guilty on drugs

LISMORE (Australia) - FORMER world champion kayaker, Australian Nathan Baggaley has pleaded guilty to manufacturing and supplying drugs.

The Athens Olympics dual silver medallist and his younger brother appeared in Lismore Local Court on Tuesday, the ABC and News Ltd reported.

Nathan Baggaley, 32, pleaded guilty to manufacturing ecstasy (MDMA) tablets and two counts of supplying a prohibited drug.

Dru Anthony Baggaley, 26, pleaded guilty to manufacturing MDMA tablets and one count of supply, the reports said.

The brothers were arrested on the NSW north coast in November 2007 in a joint operation between Queensland and NSW police.

They will appear in Lismore District Court for sentencing on March 24, News Ltd website goldcoast.com.au reported.
