S'pore wins 1 gold 2 bronze

SINGAPORE Asian Youth Games athletes collected three medals - one gold and two bronze - on Thursday.

The bowling pair of New Hui Fen and Darshini Khrishna clinched the Republic's second gold medal in the girls' double event on Thursday at Orchid Country Club.

Together they bowled a total of 2,680 pinfalls, 101 pinfalls ahead of Thai duo of Sathean Tanaprang and Saebe Yanee. South Korea's Oh Nu-Ri and Sim Ui-Jin took the bronze, a further 75 pinfalls behind.
