The Singapore swim team took both the gold and silver medal for the girls' 50m freestyle in Asian Youth Games swimming finals held at the Singapore Sports School this evening.
Quah Ting Wen, 16, took the gold in 25.43 sec while Amanda Lim, also 16, came second with 25.68 sec.
Hong Kong's Stephanie Au, 17, was third at 26.22 sec.
Boy's 50m freestyle
In the boys' 50m freestyle event, Hong Kong's Lum Ching Tat, was the gold medallist with a timing of 23.13 sec.
Second and third place went to China's Sun Yuchan (23.39 sec) and Liu Chang (23.63 sec).
Bronze for S'pore in 4x100m medley relay
Korea continued to dominate the pool with a win in the boy's 4x100m medley.
Singapore's Rainer Ng, Lionel Khoo, Mohd Kamal Dzulhali and Clement Lim were third in the boys' 4x100m medley relay in 3 min 56.28 sec, behind South Korea (3 min 50.04 sec) and China (3 min 51.94 sec).
