THE world's top 10 women golfers will be in Singapore for the HSBC Women's Champions tournament at Tanah Merah Country Club (TMCC) from Feb 25-28.

Leading the charge will be the two past champions: World No. 1 Lorena Ochoa and world No. 2 Shin Ji Yai.

The remaining eight players - Suzann Pettersen (Norway), Anna Nordqvist (Sweden), Cristie Kerr (USA), Tseng Ya-ni (Taiwan), Paula Creamer (USA), Ai Miyazato (Japan), Angela Stanford (USA) and Michelle Wie (USA) - will be eager to get the 2010 season off to a solid start at the tournament, scheduled for the second week of the LPGA Tour calendar.

Joining the line-up will be 23-year-old Tour rookie Amanda Blumenherst, who was awarded one of the sponsor's invitations.

The American turned professional last year, following a stellar amateur career that included the winning of the 2008 US Women's Amateur title.

A total of 63 players will tee off for four days of stroke play at TMCC. Along with the two sponsor's invitations, the field will be completed by Singaporean amateur Joey Poh, who won the two-day local qualifying event last month.
