Olympics: Shooter Jasmine Ser finishes 29th in 50m qualifier

Singapore shooter Jasmine Ser failed to make it to the finals in the 50m rifle three positions event on Saturday.

She finished 29th out of 46 with a score of 577, reported The Straits Times.

Ser faced tough competition, flanked by world record holder Sonja Pfeilschifter and Russian favourite Daria Vdovina during the qualifier.

The 22-year-old is known for winning gold at the 10m air rifle event during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Jamie Lynn Gray of the United States and Ivana Maksimovic of Serbia broke the Olympic record with scores of 592 and 590 respectively.
