A 21-year-old Malaysian Chinese man died this morning in a drowning incident.

Goh Chin Went, a Sheng Siong supermarket worker, was with two other colleagues loading fresh fish onto a delivery truck in the Lim Chu Kang area next to the Sarimbun Scouts Camp.

They were at the back of the lorry when it started rolling into the sea.

The two other workers managed to climb onto the top of the lorry to escape unhurt.

The police and civil defence force arrived 15 minutes later and carried out a search for the missing Goh.

Divers later found his body in the container of the lorry, which had already sunk onto the seabed.
