Star appeal: Randall is actually American, having arrived in 1991from the San Diego Zoo where he was born. He is one of the stars of the Splash Safari Show, where he loves getting the audience wet by splashing water out of his exhibit.
At 250kg, Randall is in the prime of his life. Being the biggest sealion in the zoo, and he is considered the 'beach master' - the alpha male among a group of sealions. Despite his imposing size, he can do a 'flipper stand', where his entire body is supported by just his front flippers.
